Merci Sébastien. Pour te répondre, les poissons sont nourris avec des farines bio produites ailleurs. Mais pour les poissons végétariens on peut imaginer les produire sur place en valorisant la chaleur produite par le cogénérateur. Il suffirait d'ajouter un bassin d'eau chaude pour cultiver des micro-algues. Une installation plus grande (cf celle dessinée pour Montréal dans la vidéo) serait nécessaire.

La production de légumes en ville est extrêmement importante pour ces prochaines années,lancez vous! mais soyez bien avisé,c'est un sujet vaste et complexe,surtout lorsqu'il y a aquaculture en synergie.

Vous l'aurez compris il s'agit dans un premier temps d'un projet de communication (je suis designer), pour dépasser les préjugés qu'on peut avoir sur ce genre de culture. Et ça va très vite ! Je travaille actuellement avec la région Ile de France et Urbanfarmers pour le premier prototype. U-FARM est aussi en pépinière pour la GSVC, car les avancées écologiques doivent passer par des avancées sociales pour être durables.
Intéressant ! Ca fait rêver... on pourrait imaginer mettre des équipements de ce type dans ou à proximité des écoles élémentaires (mais l'échelle pour les enfants, c'est pas top). Ils auraient ainsi un autre contact avec les légumes et les poissons que tels qu'ils les perçoivent dans leurs assiettes.
Intéressant... Mais je vois un certain nombre de critiques graves, hélas (je travaille aussi sur les questions d'agriculture urbaine):
- Une telle intensité dans un milieu confiné augmente les risques de contagion par des agents pathogènes et autres ravageurs (qui seraient normalement contrôlés en agro-écologie). Vous devrez dès lors utiliser des biocides... et dès lors plus de bio qui tienne.
- Cela reste de la culture hors-sol, donc, comme son nom l'indique, coupée du sol. Ce qui signifie aussi coupée de l'écosystème local (vous parlez d'ailleurs de travailler avec des poissons exotiques comme le tilapia...). On reste dans le paradigme de produire de la nourriture en travaillant contre la nature, pas avec elle (alors qu'il est tout à fait possible d'intensifier sans travailler "contre", cf. permaculture).
- politiquement, le concept de ferme verticale déployé à grande échelle donne raison à tous ceux qui rêvent d'artificialiser complètement la production de nourriture et de la concentrer dans les villes, ce qui permettrait d'"intégrer" les écosystèmes naturels restants dans les marchés carbone existants et les marchés de la biodiversité en discussion (porte ouverte à l'économie de la biomasse et la destruction de la nature sauvage, voir http://www.etcgroup.org/en/node/5232 )... Ce n'est pas votre faute mais il faut garder à l'esprit les enjeux globaux.
Bref, l'idée est bonne mais le dispositif technique pose problème... Mais vous pouvez tout à fait imaginer d'autres systèmes utilisant les synergies dans le cycle plante/animal sans faire de la culture confinée et hors-sol! Bon courage pour la suite quand même, désolé de ne pas être plus enthousiaste parce que l'enjeu d'une agriculture urbaine est très important...
Sur la forme, le dispositif technique utilisé ici n’est pas une fin en-soi, c’est un moyen de répondre à la triple problématique suivante : comment produire une alimentation de proximité sans dépendre de transport tout en créant des emplois non délocalisables dans un écosystème urbain impropre à l’agriculture classique.
Sur le fond, c’est bien travaillant avec la nature que l’on peut se passer d’engrais en donnant ce rôle à des poissons et nous serions ravis de travailler avec des agriculteurs « classiques » sur ces questions.
Super projet!! bravo à toi! j'ai deux questions : 1/ quid de la qualité nutritionnelle et gustative des légumes hydroponiques? (je ne sais pas si on a des études là dessus..) 2/ dans les centres urbains denses de grandes tours, où trouver le soleil au niveau des rues? dans ce cas je pense qu'on peut installer le conteneur sur les toits ou en terrasse des immeubles...
Bonjour Vannina, 1/ On est en aquaponie, donc l'eau n'est pas chargée artificiellement d'engrais chimiques comme l'hydroponie intensive. Il faut s'imaginer que ça fonctionne comme une rizière (ce que font les chinois depuis des millénaires) : on va juste filtrer l'eau dans le bac épuratif pour éviter que les excréments des poissons bouchent le système. Mais tous les nutriments nécessaires à la plante (et donc à son goût) seront là. 2/ Oui j'ai un peu poussé la caricature dans la vidéo. On vise plutôt les quartiers résidentiels (comme les jardins partagés) ou les interstices non cultivables. Quant à mettre U-FARM sur les toits, j'imagine que c'est plus simple de mettre la serre sans le container (2,3T d'acier). Ça devient de la culture rooftop, ça se fait déjà aux USA et au Canada.
Intéressant! Suggestion: le métal constituant le container est dangereux pour les poissons, aucun morceau de métal, même minuscule, ne doit tomber (par exemple à cause de la rouille ou d'un choc) dans un bac à poissons.

Merci Sébastien. Pour te répondre, les poissons sont nourris avec des farines bio produites ailleurs. Mais pour les poissons végétariens on peut imaginer les produire sur place en valorisant la chaleur produite par le cogénérateur. Il suffirait d'ajouter un bassin d'eau chaude pour cultiver des micro-algues. Une installation plus grande (cf celle dessinée pour Montréal dans la vidéo) serait nécessaire.

Vous l'aurez compris il s'agit dans un premier temps d'un projet de communication (je suis designer), pour dépasser les préjugés qu'on peut avoir sur ce genre de culture. Et ça va très vite ! Je travaille actuellement avec la région Ile de France et Urbanfarmers pour le premier prototype. U-FARM est aussi en pépinière pour la GSVC, car les avancées écologiques doivent passer par des avancées sociales pour être durables.

RépondreSupprimerIntéressant... Mais je vois un certain nombre de critiques graves, hélas (je travaille aussi sur les questions d'agriculture urbaine):
RépondreSupprimer- Une telle intensité dans un milieu confiné augmente les risques de contagion par des agents pathogènes et autres ravageurs (qui seraient normalement contrôlés en agro-écologie). Vous devrez dès lors utiliser des biocides... et dès lors plus de bio qui tienne.
- Cela reste de la culture hors-sol, donc, comme son nom l'indique, coupée du sol. Ce qui signifie aussi coupée de l'écosystème local (vous parlez d'ailleurs de travailler avec des poissons exotiques comme le tilapia...). On reste dans le paradigme de produire de la nourriture en travaillant contre la nature, pas avec elle (alors qu'il est tout à fait possible d'intensifier sans travailler "contre", cf. permaculture).
- politiquement, le concept de ferme verticale déployé à grande échelle donne raison à tous ceux qui rêvent d'artificialiser complètement la production de nourriture et de la concentrer dans les villes, ce qui permettrait d'"intégrer" les écosystèmes naturels restants dans les marchés carbone existants et les marchés de la biodiversité en discussion (porte ouverte à l'économie de la biomasse et la destruction de la nature sauvage, voir http://www.etcgroup.org/en/node/5232 )... Ce n'est pas votre faute mais il faut garder à l'esprit les enjeux globaux.
Bref, l'idée est bonne mais le dispositif technique pose problème... Mais vous pouvez tout à fait imaginer d'autres systèmes utilisant les synergies dans le cycle plante/animal sans faire de la culture confinée et hors-sol! Bon courage pour la suite quand même, désolé de ne pas être plus enthousiaste parce que l'enjeu d'une agriculture urbaine est très important...

RépondreSupprimerSur la forme, le dispositif technique utilisé ici n’est pas une fin en-soi, c’est un moyen de répondre à la triple problématique suivante : comment produire une alimentation de proximité sans dépendre de transport tout en créant des emplois non délocalisables dans un écosystème urbain impropre à l’agriculture classique.
Sur le fond, c’est bien travaillant avec la nature que l’on peut se passer d’engrais en donnant ce rôle à des poissons et nous serions ravis de travailler avec des agriculteurs « classiques » sur ces questions.

RépondreSupprimer1/ On est en aquaponie, donc l'eau n'est pas chargée artificiellement d'engrais chimiques comme l'hydroponie intensive. Il faut s'imaginer que ça fonctionne comme une rizière (ce que font les chinois depuis des millénaires) : on va juste filtrer l'eau dans le bac épuratif pour éviter que les excréments des poissons bouchent le système. Mais tous les nutriments nécessaires à la plante (et donc à son goût) seront là.
2/ Oui j'ai un peu poussé la caricature dans la vidéo. On vise plutôt les quartiers résidentiels (comme les jardins partagés) ou les interstices non cultivables.
Quant à mettre U-FARM sur les toits, j'imagine que c'est plus simple de mettre la serre sans le container (2,3T d'acier). Ça devient de la culture rooftop, ça se fait déjà aux USA et au Canada.

La Urbanfarmersbox (UFU aquaponique) produit 200kg de légumes et 60kg de poissons par an sans éclairage ni chauffage artificiel. Quant à la Courtibox (UFU en terre), elle produit 960kg de légumes par an sans éclairage ni chauffage artificiel.
